What is IELTS?
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) assesses the English language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as the language of communication. IELTS are held in over 1,000 locations across the world with tests up to four months a time.

IELTS test takers can choose between two versions of the test such as Academic or General training, depending on their academic or professional aims, or visa requirements. How much score need for a student to go abroad?
The maximum score of IELTS is nine (9). Students who want to go after HSC required score is 5.5 out of 9 score and who wants to go abroad for masters or PhD required score is 6.5 or 7.00.
Procedure of Scoring:
Nine (9) score is determined separately for Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Sum of your obtaining scores in for Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking are averaged with 4. If your average is 6.25 then it seems 6.5 at your certificate and 6 if your score is 6.125.
Where to Sit for Exam?
You can sit for exam at British Council & IDP. The registration fee for exam is BDT.13,500/- (Thirteen thousand and five hundred taka) only.
